I know it's fun to get excited about stuff, and I do it periodically myself, and most recently I got really excited because I have been having a dilemma about how to handle my exercise. I know I need it and I love it just getting it in frequently is rough and also I know that sometimes at home I just can't stop what i'm doing and start doing my dance game. I was going through my junk mail as I periodically do and found a family friendly gym that focuses on being affordable by cutting out the big stuff of the gyms. Right now I am paying $44/mo for my own membership to a larger gym but I never go because of the different locations and in order to go to the brand new "super" gym closest I'd have to upgrade my membership to $60+ a month. And that's just for ME! I was considering not going to the gym any more at all and just canceling the whole idea. So I was thrilled to see the ad. So I got Dave to go with me yesterday to check it out. It's very close to the route I take home from work everyday and it's also in an area that we're familiar with. Dave and I got a tour of the small facility, and in truth it's not much larger (or smaller) than the location of my other gym I'd been going to, but it's so clean and ...well ...brand new (just opened) and they were friendly and the rep that took us through let us know that there is no commission. It was nice. They don't have shower rooms because they wanted to keep the costs down for us and opted to give a child care center instead. They still have changing rooms and also bathrooms and a wall or two of lockers for stowing stuff. We were able to get a deal of $23/mo for BOTH Dave and I. Dave's membership is technically a 3day a week pass, but because I got a more expensive 7day a week membership they gave both Dave and I full week access. Dave will probably only go Thursday-Saturday with me due to his work schedule but still it's nice. I'm excited to start going. If Carrie wants to go when she comes over then she and I will go today. Dave's still getting over a real bad chest cold and his asthma is not being very user friendly.
I've given up on my garden in the back yard, with the mice/rats that live back there they keep eating my bulbs (flowers) and anything that blossoms on the plants end up getting eaten.... like my bell pepper. I'll still water them but yeah... anyway I'd better go run and check on the furballs.
